Rules and Notices

Tenkey is a community event organized by volumteers.
Our primary goal is to provide a safe space for anyone - whether first-time visitor or long-time enthusiast - to enjoy keyboards, share ideas, and interact.

To ensure that Tenkey can continue to provide this experience into the future, we kindly ask for your cooperation.

• Tenkey is an event primarily intended for social interaction.
  The following are examples of probitited actions which do not align with this goal - for occurrences such as these, we may ask you to desist or to leave altogether.

• The keyboards on display are the valued personal possessions of the attendees.
  Please take care when interacting with them.

• Bringing keyboards in isn’t a requirement - feel free to enjoy the event even if you don’t have anything to display.

• Registration from connpass is required for attendance.
  Dropping by without prior registration is not permitted.
  • Please see the How to Join page for instructions on how to register.
  • Due to event safety and preparation reasons, we cannot handle requests to join beyond the maximum number of registrations, beyond the registration period of the event, or any other circumstance which the connpass system does not permit registration for.
    Neither Tenkey’s event staff team nor its individual members will reply to such requests.
  • Attempting to gain registration by spamming, harassing, or extorting staff, participants, or any other party are extreme violations of the event’s Anti-Harassment Policy, and will result in an immediate ban from all Tenkey events and action from local authorities as required.
  • Attempting to force entry into the venue by any means (i.e. harassing staff, forcing through or evading the building gates) will be subject to legal action and/or prosecution by local authorities for tresspassing and security violations.
• To allow as many people to attend as possible, please cancel your registration as early as possible if you find that you can no longer attend.
• We will reach out regarding how to access the venue via the connpass event page’s “information for attendees” section and via connpass messages (e-mail); please make sure to check the details prior to attendance.

• All participants will be provided a nametag when entering the venue.
  • Please wear the provided nametag around your neck at all times during the event.
    For security reasons, those without a nametag will be subject to dismissal.
  • The name and icon printed on the nametag will be that of your connpass account.
    Since we will prepare the nametags ahead of time, please make any changes to this information as early as possible.
• Please only register for oneself by oneself.
  • For security and fairness reasons, proxy registrations for others, the transferring/repurposing/sale of event registrations, connpass accounts, or accompanying person rights, and the proposal of or assistance to such actions are strictly prohibited.
    Such privilege-transferring actions are also prohibited by connpass’s Terms of Use.
  • If such actions are discovered, all parties involved will be denied participation to all Tenkey events including the day of, and will also be reported to connpass.
• Up to one accompanying person may accompany each attendee - either a child of elementary school age or lower or a caregiver.
  If bringing an accompanying person, please fill the accompanying persons form displayed to attendees on the connpass event page after registration.

• If you wish to attend for the purposes of interviewing, or wish to cover the event for a company or legal entity, prior registration is required by venue regulations.

• Live broadcasting/streaming of the event is prohibited.
• We allow photography and video filming of the event, as well as uploading to blogs, social media, and similar.
  Due to this, images or footage of attendees may appear in media shared to the general public.

• Eating and drinking is prohibited within the venue aside from designated areas.
• We are not liable for any loss or damage to property - please manage your belongings responsibly.
  In addition, we are unable to manage/store forgotten belongings.
• The use of dollies/push carts is prohibited due to venue regulations. Suitcases are permitted.
• There are no smoking rooms within the venue.
  If necessary, please use the smoking area on the 4th floor of the venue building or one outside of the building.
• The event may be cancelled due to unforeseen or inevitable circumstances.
  In such a scenario, we will contact attendees via connpass messages.
• The event details are subject to change without prior notice.

At Tenkey Tokyo, all participants are subject to an Anti-Harassment Policy for the safety of the event and its attendees.

This Policy has been established to maintain an enjoyable and safe atmosphere both for current and future attendees to attend without worry or risk - thus this Policy applies not only to actions and speech within the venue, but also for communications following the event as well as posts and communications on social media, blogs, and similar.
